Microneedling

Microneedling

Your skin. Your collagen. Repairing itself.

What Is Microneedling?

Microneedling is a quick, non surgical treatment aimed at stimulating the body’s own collagen production to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, stretch marks, sun damage, skin laxity and scarring. By penetrating the skins surface using tiny needles, a healing response is initiated to create both structural and cosmetic improvements. When conducted by an experienced provider like our highly trained technicians, these tiny punctures are safe and controlled. During the treatment, we use a Hyaluronic Acid serum to hydrate and heal the skin.

The results: smoother, firmer and younger looking skin.

Microneedling can help with:

  • Smoothing of wrinkles and fine lines
  • Overall skin texture and tone
  • Reduction of scaring due to acne or injury
  • Sun damage and hyperpigmentation
  • Sagging skin
  • Expanded pores
  • Stretch marks

Microneedling can also be combined with other treatments such as a chemical peel (as a preparation treatment), or following one of our fractional laser treatment such as Halo or CO2, which can be particularly beneficial in the treatment of scarring.

We also offer Microneedling with radiofrequency in one single treatment. Morpheus8, Fractora, Endymed Intensif and Infini are all examples of this dynamic duo.

Microneedling + Radio Frequency

This dynamic duo creates a powerful treatment option for skin resurfacing with minimal downtime and maximal efficacy.

As mentioned before, by penetrating the skin’s surface using tiny needles, a healing response is initiated to create both structural and cosmetic improvements. Radiofrequency within the tiny needles amplifies the production of collagen and elastin significantly. The result is smoother, firmer and younger-looking skin that continues to improve over time. See our Morpheus8 page for more details. We also offer Fractora, Enymed and Infini, which operate using comparable technology.

Microneedling + Growth Factors

Combining microneedling with growth factors, is commonly referred to as the Vampire Facial.

Activated platelets and growth factors found in blood plasma are derived through a simple blood draw, much like a routine blood test. It is then run through a centrifuge to separate the plasma and the platelets from red blood cells.

When this plasma is applied to the skin immediately following a microneedling treatment, the platelets are easily absorbed into the skin, repairing the tissue in that area. Platelets do this by releasing healing proteins that are called growth factors. When platelet levels are significantly higher than their normal concentration, the skin’s ability to rejuvenate is considerably increased. Collagen and elastin production is stimulated which thickens and tightens thinning skin, effectively smoothing wrinkles and fine lines.

FAQ

How soon will I see results after a microneedling treatment?

For optimal results, we recommend 3-6 treatments, four weeks apart. The process for collagen production begins 5 days following each treatment and continues slowly overtime, reaching it’s peak about twelve weeks post treatment.*

*Result may vary.

How much does microneedling cost?

The cost of one Microneedling treatment is $390. We also offer a 3-pack for $945 (for a savings of $75 per treatment).

How long is a microneedling treatment?

A microneedling treatment takes 30-60 minutes.

How do I get started?

A consultation for Microneedling treatment with one of our highly trained technicians is free. We get to understand your skin type, discuss your goals, review before and after photos, and work together on a treatment plan that is right for you.

What should I expect following a treatment?

Recovery time for Microneedling typically takes two to three days. While there is no downtime and you can resume most normal activities immediately, it is normal to experience redness and some swelling within the first 24-48 hours.
We recommend avoiding physical exercise, spas/saunas, hot showers, and sun exposure for 24 to 72 hours following treatment. Makeup can be applied the following day, however products with active ingredients should be avoided for at least 72hrs.

How long will the results last?

Depending on what the Microneedling treatment was for, fine lines versus scarring for example, maintenance treatments may be recommended. Once you have completed your series, your technician will determine what maintenance regimen will best suit you based on your overall skin care goals. As a general rule, touch-up treatments for almost any skincare treatment can help keep pace with the aging process, which varies by individual.
