What are Skinboosters?
Skinboosters is a dermal filler which improves skin hydration, firmness and luminosity, through micro-injections of a very thin Hyaluronic Acid filler into the skin. It naturally integrates into the skin to noticeably improve skin smoothness, elasticity and appearance in the face, upper neck and back of the hands. Clinical studies show that results may last up to 6 months.
Unlike traditional dermal fillers, they are not injected beneath the skin to volumize or shape the face. Instead, they are very fine dermal fillers that are injected into the skin to hydrate and improve skin quality. What is the procedure like?
Skinboosters are injected using a very small needle.
The entire procedure takes anywhere from 20 to 40 minutes. No topical numbing cream is necessary.
How many treatments are required?
Initially, 3 treatments are required. They should be scheduled 4-6 weeks apart. Maintenance treatments are recommended every 6-8 months. Take care of your skin by hydrating from the inside out with Skinboosters, especially in the winter to combat dryness.
Is there any downtime?
You may experience a little redness and occasional bruising for a few days after the treatment but this subsides quickly. It is safe to apply make-up a few hours after the treatment.
How do I get started?
A consultation with a Victoria Park Medispa physician can range between $125 and $200, depending on the type of consult. They will perform a complete review of your age, facial structure, skin type and the improvements you would like to see. They will then walk you through the various options that could have the greatest benefit for you, review before and after photos, and develop a treatment program.
