Our workshops offer a range of exciting specialty courses designed to complement your existing skillset. The Annie Young School of Makeup enables beauty artists who are looking for more specialised techniques courses to complement their existent training. Makeup Bridal

The Annie Young Bridal Makeup Workshop is designed for the experienced makeup artist who wants to further develop his or her skills. This one-on-one private workshop includes:

  • Bridal trials – selecting the “right look” for the client
  • Face chart of finished look (products used, special notes, etc.)
  • Long-lasting makeup application
  • Managing the bride
  • Scheduling of bridal party, deposits, touch-ups

Glam Makeup

The Annie Young Glam Workshop focuses on creating a “Hollywood look” with makeup. This session is for the experienced artist who wants to perfect his/her skills in advanced makeup artistry. Topics covered in this one-on-one, private workshop include:

  • Evening makeup for galas & special events
  • Dramatic/sexy makeup
  • Editorial photoshoots/television/video

Corrective Makeup

Our Annie Young Corrective Makeup Workshop will show you how to create the illusion of a flawless face with shadow, light and colour. This one-on-one, private workshop includes:

  • Highlighting
  • Contouring
  • The Art of concealing
  • Colour correction
  • Creating symmetry 

Catalogue Makeup

Our Annie Young Catalogue Make-up Workshop focuses on creating a “no makeup look”. This session will teach you how to create clean, dewy skin. Topics covered in this one-on-one, private workshop include:

  • Flawless skin
  • Highlight and strobing
  • Concealer
  • Natural eye shadow and eyebrows

Eyes, Lashes, Brows And Lips

This one-on-one, private workshop focuses exclusively on eye makeup, lashes, brows and lips to create symmetry and balance for an overall polished look.

Men’s Makeup

Our Men’s Make-up Workshop will teach you how to create a natural look for grooms and photoshoots. This one-on-one, private workshop includes:

  • Skincare
  • Grooming

Drag Makeup

Annie Young’s specialty workshop on drag makeup is designed for the experienced beauty artist who wants to further develop his/her skills. This one-on-one, private workshop applies the key principles of highlight & contour in new and exciting ways to trick the eye and master the art of gender illusion:

  • Brow-blocking
  • Lash stacking and customization
  • Cream highlight and contour
  • Application of face tape (extra charge) 

Tattoo Cover Up

Our Tattoo Cover Workshop will prepare you for any situation, from a quick cover for the runway, to a precise tattoo cover for brides or television. This one-on-one, private session includes:

  • Black and white or colour tattoos
  • Waterproof coverage
  • Colour correcting
  • What products to use

Special Effects Makeup

Our Special Effects Makeup Workshop is designed to show you how to create realistic injuries and scars for television, film and photo. Learn to evaluate the evolution and continuity of a wound. The student will be responsible for purchasing the necessary materials for the course. A list of mandatory materials will be provided ahead of time. This private, one-on-one session includes:

  • Bullet wounds
  • Cuts and scratches
  • Bruises
  • Scars

Halloween Makeup

Our one-on-one, private Halloween Fantasy Workshop will prepare you for gore, eeriness, haunting beauty and everything in between!
